This is a Kantha saree. Kantha
is a beautiful form of embroidery practiced in West Bengal. The craft is
approximately 300 years old. Originally the thread was drawn from the border of
old sarees. It is simple running stitch made all over the saree. Finally the designs
are made by adding coloured Kantha.
